Our Work: Conservation

Protecting Wildlife. Preserving the Environment. The challenge of dwindling natural resources and wildlife is at the heart of ARC’s conservation work in research and educational programs.

Conservation

Encroachment, poaching and disease have compromised South Africa’s vital resources—the land and the magnificent animals. The decline in the animal population has a real economic impact on the people of this region, who depend on robust tourism for their collective livelihood.

ARC believes that the biggest impact can be made through research, conservation education and increased awareness. Through our partnerships with people and organizations throughout the region, we can not only help protect these threatened species, but can also help ensure a better quality of life for the entire community.
